John Rowinski

Counsel, Indigenous Law


John, of Mohawk ancestry, was born and raised in Oshawa, Ontario.  Prior to joining Foglers as Counsel, Indigenous Law, John was the founder of Two Row Law located in the beautiful Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, near Port Perry, Ontario.

Clients value his innovative approach and ability to identify the best solutions to resolve even the toughest disputes. John appears before all levels of court and various administrative tribunals, on motions, trials, applications and appeals. He provides counsel to Indigenous organizations, individuals and businesses in a broad range of matters including litigation, negotiation, consultation, agreements, contracts, policies, governance and Reserve management.

John is a member of the Indigenous Bar Association, past executive of the CBA and OBA Aboriginal law sections and a frequent speaker at Aboriginal law conferences and workshops across Canada.
