Joshua R. Freeman



Joshua is a Partner in Fogler, Rubinoff LLP's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group and has developed a broad civil and commercial litigation practice. He has appeared before various courts, administrative boards, and tribunals, at both the provincial and federal levels. Joshua is also a strong proponent of alternative forms of dispute resolution and has particpated in both mediations and arbitrations.

After completing his undergraduate studies in the combined disciplines of Political Science and Philosophy at the University of Western Ontario, Joshua eanred his law degree at Queen's University. As a complement to his legal studies, Joshua worked concurrenlty as a caseworker at the Queen's Legal Aid Society and, while on exchange in San Diego, as a mediator at the South County Small Claims Court. In recognition of his outstanding academic achievement, Joshua was awarded the Canada Law Book Prize in Torts and was named to both the Honor Roll and the National Dean's List.

Alex Kolandjian and Josh Freeman led a roundtable at the Annual ICSC Legal Conference on the topic of Accepting Partial Payment by a Tenant on a Default. Steven Cygelfarb also led a roundtable “Tenant Checklist: Top Ten Items to Review in the Landlord’s Form of Offer”.
