Gideon recently completed his second year of law school at the University of Windsor. Prior to attending law school, he graduated cum laude from York University with a Specialized Honours Bachelor of Arts in Human Rights and Equity Studies. His thesis examined the ethical dilemma behind the lack of compensation of NCAA athletes for their likeness. After graduating from York University, Gideon taught information technology at an elementary school in rural Ghana.

At Windsor Law, Gideon is a passionately involved student on campus. During his second year, he was a teaching assistant for the first-year Constitutional Law class and a volunteer group leader for Community Legal Aid Windsor, where he supervised students as they provided legal services to low-income and vulnerable people. Gideon’s passion for advocacy also sparked his interest to participate in six moot competitions that resulted in several accolades. His efforts both on and off campus were recognized when he was named the 2020 recipient of the Access to Justice Award.

After his first year of law school, Gideon worked as a summer law student at Community Legal Aid Windsor and as a research assistant to his Constitutional Law and Contract Law professors. One of his most notable projects as a research assistant was helping to produce a podcast called Just Planet: Laws, Life and Global Crisis.

In his spare time, Gideon enjoys DIY projects, long-distance cycling, powerlifting, and reading non-fiction biographies.
