Kristie recently graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Juris Doctor degree, specializing in Aboriginal Law and Indigenous Legal Traditions. She also holds an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences, with a major in International Development and minor in Political Science.

At law school, Kristie devoted her time to learning and supporting projects in furtherance of Indigenous rights, and hopes to continue this work in her legal career. She was also Senior Editor for the Ottawa Law Review, supporting open access to legal scholarship, and producing podcast content on current legal issues.

Prior to attending law school, Kristie worked for the federal government, accumulating experience in a range of governance-related issues, both at the Indigenous community and federal executive levels.

In her spare time, Kristie enjoys cooking, watching documentaries, and learning new languages.
