Matthew completed his JD at the University of New Brunswick where he was the recipient of the Townsend/Fisher Prize in Real Estate Transactions. Prior to attending law school, Matthew completed his BSc (Honours) Environmental Sciences and Geography at McMaster University.
During his time at UNB, Matthew was an active volunteer for Pro Bono Students Canada working on projects assisting in establishing non-profit organizations and community clinics. His community involvement also included roles within several student advocacy groups, such as Chair of the Advocacy Committee for the Students Wrongfully Convicted Society and as a student representative on the Faculty of Law’s Curriculum Committee. Additionally, Matthew acted as an executive of OutLaw UNB.
Prior to law school, Matthew has held positions in both banking and the federal public service. In his free time, Matthew enjoys competitive swimming and mystery novels.
