Rebekah Rodrigues recently completed her Juris Doctor at Western University.

Prior to her legal education, she earned an Honours Specialization in International Relations from Western University. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a News Editor for the Western Gazette, Western’s student newspaper, where she reported on topics like campus safety, racism and discrimination, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on campus life and learning. Rebekah was recognized on the Dean’s Honour List in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Rebekah also volunteered for various national and international non-profits and social-purpose organizations, including a summer spent working at a non-profit in Mumbai, India, where she taught children. Volunteering remains one of Rebekah’s passions.

During law school, Rebekah served as a Case Manager for the Sport Solution Clinic, providing pro bono legal assistance to Canadian athletes, and as a research assistant to professors in the fields of tax law, Aboriginal law and Indigenous legal issues. In her last year of law school, Rebekah spent a semester abroad studying at the University of Leeds in England, where she studied UK and international law, immersed herself in English culture, travelled to nearby cities and countries and made long-lasting connections with people from around the world.

In her free time, Rebekah enjoys staying active through running, hiking, swimming and playing soccer. She also loves visiting new cafes and restaurants and experimenting with cooking and baking recipes. Rebekah’s semester abroad has fueled a love of travel, and she is excited by the prospect of more solo travel in the future.
