Spencer is an Associate in the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice, where he represents clients in a broad range of complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters.

His practice includes appearances before all levels of court in Ontario, as well as in high-stakes commercial arbitrations involving multi-party disputes and cross-border issues. Spencer has also acted as amicus curiae, providing independent assistance to the court in matters of public interest and legal complexity.

He is a committed volunteer with Pro Bono Ontario’s Free Legal Advice Hotline and actively participates in the legal community through his involvement with the Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association, Toronto Lawyers Association, and The Advocates’ Society.

Spencer earned his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, a Master of Science from the University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo. During law school, he co-authored a peer-reviewed article published in the McGill Journal of Sustainable Development Law, and volunteered as a caseworker with Osgoode’s Community and Legal Aid Services Program and as a community mediator with the Osgoode Mediation Clinic.

Before entering law, Spencer worked at the Lawson Health Research Institute at Parkwood Hospital in London, Ontario, where he coordinated a national patient-focused medical research trial. The results of this randomized controlled trial were peer-reviewed and published in leading medical and rehabilitation journals.
