Kate Piggott-Babony

Kate recently completed her second year of law school at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law.

She also holds a Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Arts from the University of Toronto, as well as a Bachelor of Education from York University. Kate comes from a background in education and real estate. Kate is passionate about oral advocacy and placed second at the Canadian National Negotiation Competition in 1L. She also represented her school at the 2023 Kawaskimhon moot, a non-competitive circle negotiation, in Victoria, British Columbia. Kate founded and has presided over the constitutional law society at LASL. She is also an active member of the Indigenous Legal Education Committee. Outside of school Kate is the mom of two fabulous teenage boys, AJ and Christian, loves skiing, baking and spending time with her family by the water.
