Roberto’s practice is built on practical guidance, responsive service, and the ability to simplify complex legal issues for clients. As a Partner in the firm’s Business Law Group, Roberto maintains a broad practice and regularly advises mid-market, growth-stage, and founder-led companies on strategic transactions, governance matters, financings, and commercial arrangements.
Roberto works closely with clients across a range of industries. His experience also includes advising Canadian and international businesses on complex regulatory issues and privacy matters. Earlier in his career, Roberto completed a secondment in Milan with a leading Italian corporate law firm, which strengthened his ability to manage multijurisdictional mandates and support clients operating across markets. Since 2022, Roberto is annually recognized in The Best Lawyers™ in Canada: Ones to Watch in the area of corporate law.
Within the firm, Roberto contributes to Foglers’ strategic initiatives and professional development efforts. He previously served as Co-Chair of the firm’s Associates Committee, where he played a key role in mentoring and supporting the firm’s emerging lawyers, is actively involved in student recruitment, and currently serves on the firm’s Marketing and Business Development Committee.
Roberto holds a J.D. from Western Law and an Honours Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School. Outside of his practice, Roberto enjoys travelling, talking about economic policy and trying new restaurants.
